  it is a rainy day today.  we will be staying inside today instead of going out to Fast Friday.  We will get our assessments done early and have more time for illustrating or working on our Native American Paragraphs.  you really are working like 5th graders.  i think we should have our Brain Buddies come up and look at them.  They would be impressed.

Dear Realers,

  Today we are going to catch a Buffalo during Science.  Once you catch your buffalo you have to make as many parts of the Buffalo as you can and write how the Native Americans used each part.  It will be a race and you can't waste any scraps, just like the Native Americans.  Oh Boy!

  Man we had a twelve hour drive yesterday from michigan.  It was long, but we listened to books on CD and it made the ride faster.

  We had to go through three toll booths.  The first cost $1.05, the second cost $1.10 and the last cost $.50.  How much did we spend in all on tolls yesterday on the highway?

  I am very sad to hear that there was so much talking yesterday. Marvelous Monday

Dear Realers,

  I am so sad.  I am sick today and will not be in.  Hopefully I will be back tomorrow.  I took all my vitamins, but it didn't work.

Field Trip Day

  I can't wait!  Our field trip to the Conco Quarry is today.  We are going to learn a ton.  It is also just a good time to be with our classroom family.  My favorite was when you all wanted to have your picture taken as a family yesterday on the play ground.  You are a very sweet class.

I just found a simile
  -The lake was as smooth as glass-  it is saying the lake looked really smooth without any ripples.

I just found an onomatopoeia

  - Jingle, Jangle, tangle

I just found personification
  - Jangles starts talking- Oh my goodness!!

I just found alliteration
  -jingly jaws

I just finished a really great book.  It left me hooked.  I don't know exactly how it really turned out because the author said, he won't tell me. The pictures were so beautiful and descriptive words helped me really understand what was going on.  The boy chose to do the right thing.  I hope I can also learn from this story.
